Baltimore, MD (October 9, 2007)
Focus Consulting, LLC of Baltimore, MD is proud to announce that the company's President and CEO, Leslie Shreve, has been selected to receive the prestigious Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award. The University of Maryland University College, the Governor's Office of Minority Affairs (GOMA) and The Maryland Chamber of Commerce notified Shreve of her selection earlier this week. This program is designed to salute the region's best minority and women business owners and to highlight their achievements.
"As the entrepreneurial campus in the University System of Maryland, we are honored to support the working men and women who are building businesses and future opportunities", says Susan C. Aldridge, President of the University of Maryland University College.
Shreve founded Focus Consulting in 2003 and has twenty years of experience in corporate office environments. The mission of the company is to help executives and business owners reach their next level of success by learning how to live a more productive work day. "The training and consulting focuses on how to better manage tasks, time, email and paperwork in order for clients to successfully connect daily activities to their overall goals and objectives," said Shreve.
In recent years, Shreve has successfully assisted top CEO's and key executives to become more productive leaders through her proven systems. "Clients need to get more done in less time," Shreve said, "I show my clients the best ways to create processes and systems they can trust so they can use their time more effectively and efficiently and achieve their goals every day, every month or every year."
A panel of distinguished judges chose Shreve as an entrepreneur who demonstrated outstanding achievement in four key areas: business development, client satisfaction, professional affiliations and community outreach. Sharon R. Pinder, founder of the TOP 100 MBE Awards Ceremony said, "The business owners selected for this award represent the best of the region's more than 350,000 women and minority owned businesses. Their contributions have had a major impact in maintaining Maryland's vibrant economy."
